My week with Blake and Johna and Spring Break

The week my sister and nephew came to visit was the week before my spring break. I was really happy that I only had class on Monday and Wed. which gave me more time to spend with them. I did a lot of babysitting for my sister so she could go hang out with her friends more. The only bad thing is that I had diaper duty the whole week. Blake is lucky that I love him very much. Blake and I spent that Tuesday together while my sister and mom went shopping off island. We were suppose to have a play date with Katie D.'s niece but her sister in law wasn't feeling well. Went out partying or clubbing after we put Blake to bed which was usually around 7 or 7:30 pm. Johna, Madison, Vicki, Meagan, and I decided that we were going back on our diets after that week cause we had to go to all the resturants that we have to go to when Johna comes to visit. We were definitely fattys. I was pretty entertained the one morning when Blake was in bed with me and was into the munchies. Blake thought it would be fun to feed me handfuls of munchies. So Blake would put a handful of munchies in my mouth reach back into the bag and grab another handful and shove it into my mouth. I couldn't chew that fast so by the time he was shoving his 6 handful of chips in my mouth I had to signal to my sister that I needed help stopping him. Blake was so proud. He couldn't stop laughing at me. Took Blake to the park twice when he was here. He loves the swings. Though he did enjoy going down the slides as well.

St. Patrick's Day Parade- What an awesome day. I had to work in the morning so I didn't get to pre-game with my friends before the parade. I got out of work at 11:30 and walked down Thames St. trying to find my sister and friends. I couldn't find them but I did find some of my family and had a couple of drinks with them. Finally found my family and we walked down to one of my Aunt Tricia's house cause she was going to watch Blake while we were all out. My cousins Liam and Evan were having a St. Patrick's Day party there so hung out there a bit. Blake played with his cousin for a bit before being put down for a nap. I didn't really drink much because I had to pick Blake up around 6:30-7 pm and put him to bed before I could go out again. I volunteered to pick up Blake so Johna wouldn't have to leave the party. Though Johna and Meagan showed up at the house maybe 30 mins later. We then proceeded to drink at the house. We made skittle shots but since we didn't have a mixer we used one of Blake's sippy cups. Don't worry we washed it out really well afterwards so there was no lingering taste of alcohol. I thought I was gonna have a lot more to drink that night but I am glad that I didn't since I did have work the next morning.

The day after the parade I had to bring Blake and Johna to the airport after work. It was really sad. I miss them so much already.
Spring Break 09- SICK the whole freakin' time. Whatever Blake had I got and worse. It sucked. The only time I left my bed was when I had to go the bathroom of course or that one day of work. Last Saturday was Vicki's b-day party and we rented out 2 rooms at the Marriott. Vicki and I shared a room since we both were sick. It was funny how much medicine Vicki and I had combined in our bathroom. I drank very little since I didn't want to mix alcohol and cold medicine together. Vicki's birthday was the only fun time I had on my break. Spring break went by really fast and now its back to school for me. Though I have only like 5 more weeks of school left. Where did the semester go?

HAPPY!!!!!

I just got back from class and decided to check my midterm grades so I know where I am at. I'm really excited to say that I have all A's in my classes. YAY ME! I can start thinking of what I would like from my mom if I continue getting A's. She said that she'll get me something special if I do well. I think I might want her to help me out with the flight cost to Wyoming for the May wedding I am going to.

Anyways, Johna and Blake are finally here. Blake is still cute as a button. Already taking lots of pics that I will put up sometime soon. Blake and I took a nice nap together yesterday afternoon. I am taking him the whole day tomorrow which will be fun. Katie D. and I are planning on a play date between her niece Lily and Blake. And on Saturday for the St. Patrick's Day parade he's going to be so cute dressed up in green.

Life...

I just got back from my dentist appointment and I am happy to say that I still have no cavities. YAY me. That makes me really happy. I actually like going to the dentist. For some reason it calms me even though you are having someone's hand in your mouth, metal is scapping against your teeth, and at times you get poked by the sharp tool. I think I'm a bit strange just reading that back to myself now. lol.

Still counting down the days until my sister is here. I'm so glad that I'll be seeing her in 4 days. Need to start cleaning my room soon. lol. Plus I feel like I need something happy to look forward to. Marc just told me his uncle just died yesterday which sucks because I have always loved his family. I really had no clue what to say to Marc when he told me. I felt bad that I couldn't hug him. I know that he was in need of a big hug. It just sucks being so far away from each other. I'm kinda torn about if its alright if I go to the wake or not. I'm not sure if it'll be wierd or not because I'm not Marc's girlfriend anymore. Then again his family was like family to me and I want to show that I still care about them very much. I'm pretty sure I have decided to go to the wake and show my respect. I feel so bad.

Let it snow Let it snow

Just when I thought that RI was done with snow, we were hit again. I was just wearing sandals and going out without a sweater the other day. I so can't wait for spring. Not that I don't mind snow cause it does get me out of school every now and then. Which I am hoping for tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed. Today was a good snow day to watch movies and drink hot coco all day long after working.

Johna and Blake will be here in 6 days. I so can't wait. I miss my sister and nephew so much. Blake is getting so big too. Makes me sad. I can't wait to kiss and bite his big baby cheeks. Speaking of babies....my cousin Pat just had his first kid on Feb. 19. His wife, Nicole, gave birth to a baby girl and they named her Lillian. I can't wait to meet her. My friend, Maricel, is having a baby boy in June/July. Can't remember which month. I have to start planning her baby shower soon.

Crazy week

It's been a crazy week for me it seems. I worked a lot this past week and kinda got behind on my homework. Though I did get everything done on time. It just took a lot of time. I even skipped out on a night out to finish everything. Man, I remember when I would go out anyways even if I did have a ton of homework to do. lol. I'm growing up. :) I'm so proud. During my crazy week, my friend Josh from high school came down to visit me because he had spring break. It was a huge surprise because he didn't tell me and Gina kept it a secret. So I didn't find out he was here until I walked into the bar in Providence. I was late meeting up with Josh, Gina, Erin, and Joe because I was out getting a reading with a psychic with Lisa and Paul and their family. They wanted to go see the psychics being done for the Winter festival. My reading completely amazed me. It put a lot of ease to my mind. Everyone was amazed with their reading too. There was a Perryfest going on because Ian was back from Iraq for 2 weeks I believe. That was a lot of fun. I
know that there were other things going on but I can't remember. It all went by too fast and the next thing I know it's Monday and its time for school. YAY!

My sister is coming to visit with Blake on March 7. I so can't wait to see her. I have to start baby proofing my room again. They'll be here for the St. Patrick's Day parade. Going to love dressing Blake up in green. Counting down the days.

Friday the 13th

Ahhh...Friday Feb. the 13th... It brings me back to an old memory. Way back in 7th grade. It was the day my first boyfriend and love Bryan asked me out. Now Bryan totally took me by surprise because I had no clue that he liked me. From the very beginning of 7th grade I knew I liked Bryan. Now Bryan became one of my best friends. He was part of my circle...it was Bryan, Jon, Dustin, Amber, Sabrina, Amy, Mari, Sarah, and I. Man, I miss all of them more as I typed their names. Jon who was best friends with Bryan and I told me the day before I left to go on vacation for Winter break that Bryan liked me. I thought that Jon was joking because he knew how I felt about Bryan and Jon does like to make a lot of jokes. Though I also kept hearing from other friends that they thought Bryan liked me as well. I kept thinking no its impossible cause I was convinced he liked one of my other friends Cheyanne. Cheyanne was this girl who lived 3 houses down from me and was a gorgeous blonde with a great personality. I liked her...everyone liked her. Plus they're both Mormons and knew that their parents would approve. I mean I'm not saying that their religion is one of the reasons why I couldn't believe he liked me...I just kept hearing that they stick together. Anyways, Cheyanne came up to me after school one day cause she had heard that Bryan might like her and I liked him and what not so she just wanted to assure me that she had no interest in him and wanted to say that she thought Bryan might like me as well. Now I'm thinking that maybe he does like me. Bryan never said a word to me or showed me that he liked me as more than a friend. He treated me like he always treated me.

February Fri. the 13, it was during lunch and we were all hanging out in our usual spot down by our 5th period class. 5th period I remember was Mrs. Pettite's math class. My group drove her crazy because we were always talking to each other. We all sat in alphabetical order and Bryan and my last name both began with a P. He sat right behind me. So I was hanging out with Amber, Amy, and Tabitha (Jon's gf) talking when Jon and Bryan came up to us. Bryan asked me to come with him for a second. I didn't think anything of it because Bryan and I had talked alone before but I was also a bit nervous. We moved over to one of the trees and he pulled out a box of chocolate and this small love book called a Key to Love behind his back and asked me to be his girlfriend. I was completely in shock that I believe it took me a good minute or two to say yes. As soon as I said yes we hugged and Jon came running up and stole my box of chocolate. I never even got one piece of chocolate. Jon had passed out all my chocolate....I guess that was his way of having everyone celebrate with us.

Bryan had told me that he had always liked me but didn't think I liked him until Jon blurted out that I liked him. Yeah I wanted to kill Jon for spilling my secret but I couldn't be mad at him because he did in a way help us get together. Bryan and I dated for 4 months. We broke up because his family had to move away. But during those times Bryan and I fell in love and had a pretty good relationship. I was shy as hell around him but he seemed to love it. I still remember our first dance to Hold On by Wilson Phillips during a party that I wasn't suppose to be at and our first kiss in the back seat of the car when we took a day off from school to go to Shimoda. We gave each other notes every day in the beginning of school and the end of school. Stand outside by our buses talking and say I love you to each other before we left to get on our buses. Bryan and I would sit on the side of the window since our buses were right next to each other and mouth cute things to each other until our buses pulled out. I also knew that I would find him waiting for my bus in the beginning of school and would walk me to my classes. Mrs. Pettite would usually have the person behind us correct our math papers as she told us the answers and Bryan would always pass my paper back with little cute comments. Mrs. Pettite never said a word about those comments if she collected them. I think I only got to correct his paper once or twice. I went to one of his basketball games and he came to one of my gymnastic mets. Everything was perfect.

The day Bryan left was the hardest day. It was a rainy Sunday morning on June. 14. I skipped out on church that day because Bryan was coming by my house to say a last good bye just by ourselves. Everyone was out of the house so we had the whole house to ourselves. We sat on my couch holding each other and me crying of course. Getting in as much hugs and kisses as we could. Promising each other we would keep in touch and to never forget what we had. Eventually he had to leave to help his family pack up the last of their things. While he did that Jon and Amber came over to support me and we went around pass and took some sticker pictures. We figured he could add it to his photo album we made for him at his going away party. Jon, Amber, and I arrived at the lodge 30 mins before Bryan's family took off for the airport. We watched them load up the van and then Bryan's family gave Bryan time to say good bye to everyone. I was the last person he said good bye to. One more kiss, one more hug, and one last I love you...then he was climbing in the van and with one last wave good bye he was gone. I didn't start crying until he started to pull away.

I know that's a lot to remember from a relationship that lasted for only 4 months and was so long ago. But its kinda true what they say about how you never forget your first love. I have moved on and grown from that experience. It did take me until I met Marc to fully get over Bryan. Bryan was my first love but Marc was my first true love. I thought that getting over Bryan was hard but trying to get over Marc is a huge challenge for me. Then again 5 years of love is hard to get over....

My goal for the summer and ice skating

I just finished a good hour workout. I am determined to lose lots of weight before summer arrives. I'm not very happy with the way my body looks right now and I would like to look like I did when I did crew at URI. I know its gonna be a lot of work but I am willing to work on it. I'm going to keep an exercise log of everything I do so I can track myself. Go Team Marissa!!! lol. I have a white skirt that I want to fit back into so that is a goal to work towards. And also I would like to look good in my bath suit when I go to the lake for Leanne's wedding. Oh, and I have to say for my health as well.

Later today I am going ice skating for the first time since high school. I feel like I need to get out of the house and have some fun. Been doing a lot of homework lately and my brain is starting to get tired from reading and writing. Can't wait. Well, I better go cleaned up from working out and get ready to ice skate. I hope I don't fall considering I haven't been on ice in awhile.
